Text Box: Hot Buick’s is an initiative started by a group of dedicated Buick hot rodder’s *. The purpose of this group is to bring together the knowledge and information required to help 1950’s, 1960’s & 1970’s Buick owners with modified cars. Along with that is a desire to provide a forum for these Buick owners to get together and meet each other. The initial base for the group is this quarterly eNewsLetter and the web site. A meet is under discussion.
So, what’s needed? First, we need to get the word out. If you know someone in this category, forward this eNewsLetter to them or direct them to the web site. Second, we need articles and technical information to share. Thirdly, let us know that you care, that you can participate in helping and communicating with other Buick owners. Finally, tell us what you want to see happen within this group.
*Technically, I guess that would be Buick street machiner’s, but somehow that just doesn’t ring right :)

Nailhead head swap.
A little known fact is that you can swap the 364 CID Buick Nailhead heads onto the small block 322 CID Buick engine. This replacement requires the 364 head gasket in place of the 322 head gasket. The water crossover pipe must be shortened. Photo’s above show the installation. The motor has run this configuration since 1970.
